Qualcomm islooking to hire a Financial Analyst / Sr. Financial Analystin the QTI Operations Finance Department. QTI Operations Finance serves as a critical partner to Business Operations, Sourcing, and Supply Chain. Operations Finance helps our business partners make informed decisions and maximize value through mitigating potential losses due to excess and obsolete inventory, tracking and monitoring cost model changes and their impact to the P&L, modeling ROI for strategic investments, among other activities.
The candidate should have a strong foundation in financial analysis, communication, accounting and research. This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, Oracle, and strong analytical and technical financial modeling skills.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
Partner with Sourcing and Product Test Engineeringto quantify the P&L impact of cost model changes across the product portfolio
Prepare product cost budget inputs on a quarterly basis and track actuals vs. forecast
Track and monitor compliance with royalty reporting obligations to 3rd party IP vendors
Prepare and present reports to business and finance leadership on cost savings achievement and opportunities
Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entry activity for vendor rebates and 3rd party IP royalties along with required account reconciliations
Ad-hoc projects related to capacity analysis, cost savings modeling, among others
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Finance and/or Accounting with 3+ years of work experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office, TM1, Tableau
Strong verbal and written communication
Preferred Qualifications
CPA or audit experience is preferred
