Purpose of the position
The Plant Procurement Specialist is responsible for resolving service and quality issues for the plant, will ensure the identification, implementation and maintenance of the lowest total cost supply strategies with the best possible service and quality for all materials required by internal customers and will also support and implement the strategies developed by the global Category Manager and the Division Category Procurement Manager.
The Plant Procurement Specialist will also support FTG generation and implementation. He/she will be the key support for the local Supply Chain management with respect to FTG, supplier issues, etc.
The Plant Procurement will support or lead negotiation of supply/service agreements with identified CMs, as well as ensure Colgate planning and quality systems are integrated with 3rd Party Providers, is also responsible for the on going relationship management of the selected 3rd party Contract Manufactures
Lets talk about the responsibilities:
:Accountable for the Purchasing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and working with the local Supply Chain
:Executes effective negotiations for specific local raw and packaging materials
:Implements and monitors the Procurement budget for the specific materials of responsibility
:Accountable for optimizing raw and packing material inventories against Customer Service and working capital targets
:Ensures the highest level of Customer Service is provided to our Customers through the development and maintenance of order replenishment best practices
:Interfaces with suppliers sales, technical and other functional groups as well as Colgate Supply Chain, Technology, Marketing and Finance functions to enforce Purchasing policies, resolves issues, aligns service and financial strategies
:Together with New Product launch teams, ensures new products are executed effectively
:Contributes to local Funding the Growth Programs
:Leverages :st1:stockticker w:ston:SAP:/st1:stockticker: in day:to:day function, including entering prices into the system (where responsible)
:Executes efforts in using e:tools (auctions, e:Savings, etc.) to help drive Funding the Growth, simplification and standardization programs
:Coordinates implementation of :st1:stockticker w:ston:SMI:/st1:stockticker: with appropriate suppliers for the relevant plant
: Accountable for adhering to Colgate:Palmolive, and governmental guidelines related to EOHS, Quality, and Regulatory for materials of responsibility. Develops awareness, and influences compliance with local government laws and regulations pertaining to materials
:Continues to improve oneself by way of training, information sharing, coaching and feedback, appraisals, delegation and implementing best practices
:Develops documented understanding of local market structure and drivers for his/her materials, with risk management overview, and identifies opportunities and threats for the future
What do you need for this position?
:University degree in Business Administration, Foreign Trade Industrial, Chemical or related Engineering.
:
2 to 4 years of experience in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
:Advanced English
It is a plus if you know:

:Master Degree

Knowledge in: International Markets and Project management
