Job Role Summary
This position resides within the business unit. Under close interlock with the unit's leadership and delivery teams, this position is responsible for scoping, framing and structure of strategic programs and projects to support strategic and financial optimization goals and oversee planning and execution by the various delivery work streams.
Purpose
The role is responsible for developing, documenting and transitioning program/projects, resource plans and project budgets in support of strategic business goals. Manage the integration, scope, time (schedule), modeling cost/benefit, industry-wide projects or multiple-discipline ones. This role will manage Project Team Members (, Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Technical Resources, etc.) and work with the Operations leadership team, HR, Finance, and Application Development teams in the implementation of best practices (procedures, processes, templates, tools) that are required to support the planning and execution of programs(s).
Is accountable and responsible for ensuring that project results deliver the required positive business value, meet agreed upon scope, cost, and schedule and benefit objectives. This includes looking outside of program boundaries for integration and interdependencies to achieve goals. It also includes conveying the important relationship of the program to the wider organizational performance objectives.
Through structured governance, enables appropriate initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing for projects to achieve benefits. Establishes and communicates program goals. Is responsible for managing integration, scope, time (schedule), cost, quality, resources, communication, risk and deliverables.
Develops and maintains relationships with Business Unit leads and leadership teams to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered for those programs.
Main Responsibilities
May perform one or more of the following duties:
Participate in or leads cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing capabilities
Identify the projects financial sources and resources and manage the budget and control costs for the program.
Maintain relationships with IT and Business Unit leads and leadership to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and the value to be delivered.
Monitors the program from initiation through delivery, provides comprehensive results of financial planned versus actual results.
Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project on schedule and within budget constraints.
Ensure appropriate governance practices are in place to monitor and control the program.
Track the progress of program activities and deliverables and the non-program work to the consolidated program benefits.
Support the portfolio management decision process
Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field required.
Master's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.
Professional Certifications
Certified, or pursuing certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
