B.L. Harbert International is seeking a HR Manager to manage the department for The new US Embassy in Guatemala. The HR Manager will manage the HR process for the project and be responsible for Human Resources functions and policies. Candidate will also be responsible for recruiting local site employees.
Responsibilities:
-Manage Human Resources department and Administration staff Responsible for recruitment strategies
-Manage recruiting activities including: sourcing candidates, interviews, and checking references
-Maintain records of employee personal benefits
-Implement site rules and discipline, and handling employee questions and complaints individually or collectively
-Prepare employee badges
-Maintain accurate records of employee leaves including sick days, excused and unexcused absences, and abandonment of post
-Responsible for compensation policy, salary packages including base salary, benefits, bonuses and adjustments
-Ensure compliance with local legal provisions, applicable standard and fiscal policy
-Budget preparation in regards to personnel costs
-Report to Admin and Finance Manager
-Coordinate and interact with Managers and Vendors
-Ensure communication and information flow between departments
-Provide Management with advice on social matters
-Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-Degree in Human Resources or related field
-At least 5 years prior experience, preferably in construction field
-Knowledge of local Labor Law
-Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook
