Academic Recovery instructors may be assigned to one or more 100, 200, or 300 level 1-unit courses designed to support students who are on academic notice. Drawing on a combination of theoretical constructs from positive psychology and rooted in a "strengths-based" curriculum, these courses provide students opportunities to engage in a holistic self-analysis and further develop and implement an action plan for academic and life success. All action plans will involve a complete understanding of university policies related to academic standing. These sections are also supported by a UNIV Peer Coach, faculty mentorship of assigned UNIV Peer Coach is expected. Minimum qualifications:A master's degreeDemonstrated ability in working with students to facilitate their transition from high school to collegeDemonstrated ability to work holistically with first-year students who are on academic noticePer the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
