The Communications and Administrative Assistant is a highly motivated, creative individual with a passion. That passion comes through as he or she engages with our community on a daily basis, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into NDG supporters through our different programs; sponsors, volunteers, donors, tour participants or Spanish students. This personwill collaborate in the planning, execution and day-to-day activities for the social media, reporting, customer support, coordination, and organizing for the Communications, Social Business and General management.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage our social media channels (Niños de Guatemala and its social businesses) with the goal of increasing follower base and generating traffic towww.ninosdeguatemala.org
- Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
- Create engaging social media content
- Support with graphic design materials for all departments
- Visit our schools on a weekly basis and participate in NDG Tours for visual storytelling through photography and videography
- Actively engage with our followers on our social media channels
- Monitor analytics with Communications Manager to identify viable ideas
- Respond to comments and customer queries in a timely manner
- Build relationships with sponsors, potential sponsors and volunteers, influencers, etc. through digitals
- Provide assistance and support to the Social Business Department
- Provide assistance and support to the general management office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic knowledge and skills in all matters related to digital/technology. Keen desire to learn new skills in this area
- Good verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Hands on experience with social media management
- A plus if you know how to use Photoshop, Indesign, Canva, iMovie
- Attention to detail
- Enthusiastic nature
- Sensitivity to and an affinity for diverse cultures
- Able to achieve high standards of performance with minimal supervision
