Call Axis is a data processing and call center that services a variety of companies in multiple industries. Under the direction of the Leadership Team, the Processing Specialist supports the clients of Call Axis by maintaining office operations & procedures as well as coordinating/supporting the activities of the Call Axis clients. This position reports to the Project Manager. This is an entry level position as an independent contractor. Contractor has ability to provide their availability and maintain their own schedule, work is virtual but may be re-assigned to onsite after Emergency Order due to Pandemic COVID-19.

The Benefits Department is one of the key departments at Call Axis. The Benefits Department inquires about a guest’s insurance plan coverage and communicates the information collected to the guests, therapists, and other departments. Critically, the Benefits Department provides quality customer service to our guests and therapists and collects important information for the Billing and Accounts department, which they enter in the organization’s electronic medical systems.

Definition of Agent

A Verification of Benefits Specialist is responsible for contacting insurance companies and verifying guest’s insurance plan coverage. A Verification of Benefits Specialist must have great organizational, time management, and communication skills to ensure accurate benefits and provide the best service to our guests, therapists and other departments.

Administrative tasks and daily responsibilities:

-A Verification of Benefits Specialist is required to contact insurance companies by phone and obtain a quote of benefits.
-A Verification of Benefits Specialist is responsible for communicating the obtained quote of benefits to the guests, therapists and other departments by calling the guests and updating the organization’s electronic medical systems.
-A Verification of Benefits Specialist is responsible to inquiring, via portals or by phone, about any deductible or out of pocket maximum accumulations, then communicating the obtained information to guests, therapists and other departments.

Experience Requirements
3-5 years of office management, administrative support, clerical, data entry, or related experience

Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent - Associate’s degree preferred

Work Schedule: Enter typically times/days needed

Monday-Friday 8-5PM

Saturdays or Sunday 8-12PM
