This is an upper division studio course that meets in person. The course is to be delivered asynchronously online. Salary is commensurate with credentials and experience.We have two (2) Bachelor's degree programs: Communication and Media Studies. Review the courses on our website: https://www.csusm.edu/communication/ Catalog Course Description:Analyzes television programs to examine representations of race, ethnicity, social class, gender, sexual preference, and other related categories. Explores the practices, conventions, and ideologies that shape the production and consumption of television programs. Examines how television contributes to the interpretation and discussion of social activities that affect the ways people view society and social groups.Minimum qualifications:ABD in Communication/Media Studies or closely related field;Experience with and demonstrated effectiveness with in-person classroom instruction and with Learning Management Systems such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard;Per the California State University's Out-of-State Employment Policy, the CSU is prohibited from hiring employees to perform CSU-related work outside California.
