Regional Director

Requirements:ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Regional Director - Central America. The successful candidate will hold an MD (or international equivalent), PhD, or Master's degree in public health, health management, international development or a related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of senior-level experience designing, implementing, and managing HIV-related projects in resource-limited settings.
The incumbent will have a proven record of excellent management, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills and demonstrated knowledge of technical content areas relevant to the current projects within the ICAP regional portfolio. The Regional Director will also have experience working on or leading health and development projects supported by the US Government, other bilateral donors, the Global Fund, the UN system agencies, and major international foundations.

The position is contingent upon availability of grant funding.Responsibilities:The incumbent will be responsible for the overall strategic leadership and direction of ICAP programs of research, technical assistance and training in the Central America region, including Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Panamá.
