+ Design, implement and maintain business-critical financial systems;
+ Work with other engineers, managers, QA and operations to ensure that our financial systems meet our reliability, accuracy and performance goals;
+ Be able to independently design, code and test complex features, as well as lead small project teams;
+ Help identify and fix performance, scalability and other issues in a time-critical environment;
+ Help to establish and enforce best practices to deliver stable and robust applications to meet the needs of our growing business.
+ 5+ years of professional experience in object-oriented design and development, preferably in Java;
+ Focus on producing well-tested code, including unit tests and integration tests;
+ Ability to work in a small, closely-knit team in the fast-changing world of financial services;
+ Experience with REST APIs and microservice architecture is a plus, as is knowledge of the Spring Framework and SQL;
+ Fluent in both written and verbal English in a professional environment;
+ Bonus points for prior experience in back-office finance and payment systems.
